吳敦義副總統今（23）日在總統府接見「日本神奈川縣日華親善協會訪問團」時指出，去年台日往來觀光客將近300萬；台灣赴日遊客，在今年1至7月成長58%，超過136萬人，還會大幅增加；雖日幣匯率調降，日來台旅客有點減少，但今年雙方往來旅客應該會破最高紀錄。

吳敦義強調，這5年來，是台日最有好的時光。雙方不僅在經貿、文化，而且在各個領域都有非常綿密的合作。

他說，雙方去年貿易額達665億美金，日本是台灣第二大貿易夥伴，我國是日本第五大貿易國。

吳敦義表示，今年4月把17年來沒有談成的台日漁業協議簽署，春天4月日本著名的寶塚歌劇團在台演出，舉國轟動、一票難求。
