台中市潭子火車站13日晚間，一輛往台北的自強號136車次行經時，撞上一部卡在平交道的紅色轎車，造成車內的聽障老翁被撞飛車外，送醫前已無生命跡象，台鐵北上南下的列車均中斷，約有六千多名民眾受影響。

晚間5時55分，一名聽障老翁駕駛紅色轎車，卡在台中市潭子火車站平交道上，被往台北的自強號136車次列車撞上，老翁被撞飛車外，當場沒有生命跡象，被警消人員送往醫院急救。

警方目前還在調查車禍原因，但台鐵必須清理現場，讓列車通行，北上南下的列車均中斷，目前已恢復通車，估計約有六千多名民眾受影響。
