巴拿馬第3戰碰上俄羅斯，靠著Javier Serrano主投3局飆7K的強力壓制，打擊方面Serrano也有2安表現，Jimenez則是繳出4安猛打，終場以15比0力克俄羅斯，勝場終於開胡。
首度參加IBAF世界盃少棒錦標賽的巴拿馬，對於大會的各項安排都相當滿意，總教練Jorge Nash表示，「從巴拿馬到阿姆斯特丹轉機，再飛到台灣，歷經32個小時的飛機，雖然有時差和適應氣候的問題，但希望能打到分組前4名。」
巴拿馬前兩戰分別敗給實力堅強的美國與韓國，不過，兩場失分都在2分以內，「參加的所有隊伍都很不錯，尤其是賽事第一天就交手的美國，基礎打得很好。」Nash表示。
打擊方面，游擊手Leonardo Jimenez連3場敲安，這場面對菲律賓更繳出4打數4安打猛打賞。
總教練Jorge Nash說：「Leonardo Jimenez是我們的主力戰將，經驗較豐富，跟每位隊友的感情都不錯，是個很穩定的打者。」總教練Jorge Nash對於團隊戰力很有信心，晉級分組前4沒有問題。
至於，另外一地的比賽，義大利則是以12比2擊敗菲律賓，義大利也拿下本賽會首勝。
