蘇伊士運河在哪裡?

蘇伊士運河處於埃及西奈半島西側（阿拉伯語：قناة السويس Qanā al-Suways，又譯蘇彝士運河），橫跨蘇伊士地峽，處於地中海側的塞德港和紅海蘇伊士灣側的蘇伊士兩座城市之間，全長約163公里，是全球僅次於京杭大運河的無船閘運河。

這條運河連結了歐洲與亞洲之間的南北雙向水運，而不必繞過非洲南端的好望角，大大節省航程。從英國倫敦港或法國馬賽港到印度孟買港作一次航行，經蘇伊士運河比繞好望角可分別縮短全航程的43%和56%。在蘇伊士運河開通之前，有時人們透過從船上卸下貨物通過陸運的方法，在地中海和紅海之間運輸。
